I was scheduled to work the morning shift this day so I didn't have the chance to send them off...
which is in a way good... 'cos I have work to keep my mind off this issue....
I can remember that I vaguely say at 1++pm..

I can't remember what happened to me after work... cos if you realised, I am writing back in time.. er.. like backlog like that..
But i think i did my laundry...walked the empty corridors, go and stare aimlessly at cheemin's door... and then had dinner.. nothing much la.. "trained" for dismissal already what. First time shirlyn it was the hardest.. then korinna's was hard but not as 心酸, then cheemin n gang... ok lor, we can meet in singapore... no biggies! heh heh!

Harry Potter Movie - 23rd July 2007
We are left with 2 days before cheemin and gang leave Grand Canyon... And yea, I am gonna miss them... and I am tad worried of the empty corridors of my dorm as all the singapore students would have went back already.. To walk past the corridors and hear no more....sound from the rooms, to have no more doors to knock for 'after-work banter' cum 'after-work-bitching' sessions... feels kindda empty.. literally, and physically. BUT at least no one will fight with me over the washing machine and the dryer! Haha! Bleahs.

last day in US.
As i am typing this from my hostel-slum room, i keep having recollections, thoughts, reflections and introspection.
I remember how excited I was when I first arrived in San Francisco. But 5 days into it, I decided, there's no place nicer than Grand Canyon. Sure, San Frans is a pretty city/town, but when you have one of the world's wonders at your feet, it just feels magical.
I will be leaving the US for Taiwan soon (and home afterwards).
Yes people, I will continue my tour to Taiwan for 9 days.
Will be back in Singapore, 24th September, Changi Airport, 1340
And then, back to my mundane, boring, and possibly, rat-race life
God help me!
The idea of an adult life scares me. Just tell me frankly, how many good people are out there??!Everywhere and everyone is like a transaction deal. They weigh your usefulness, and then decide to use/exploit you. Perhaps its just me, I paint a too dark picture of the working world.. But how many times have I seen people backstabbing each other? If it was prominent at school, the working society is very much worst.
Right, this entry shouldn't be me complaining about my about-to-happen-adult-life-which-I-can't-control.

This summer has been the most...awesome, magical, smashing, greattime of my life. I am glad I made this decision to come to US, and not go straight into working life. Even though I had to fork out money to come here, work for a meager pay when I could have been earning more money, but hey, how do you measure money with something that is intangible?
Magical summer - I am glad I chose Grand Canyon. And not Yellowstone (just so I can be with my friends). I am glad I was courageous to come on my own to Grand Canyon. Put aside all fears (of traveling alone, no friends, blabla). If I hadn't choose Grand Canyon, I wouldn't have made such good friends - 'cos its only when you travel alone that you start making friends. Who would make close friends when you are already traveling with close friends? - Right???
My Singaporean friends - CheeMin aka ET, Korinna aka Corona-cum-Bimbo Queen, Mary, Shirlyn, Tai ma aka Pearly, Shushing, Ning+wendy, feny+anggi, haskell-cum-he-likes-to-imitate-Alma, fabian, etc..
I am glad I got to know you guys!
And after they left, I forged closer friendships with Amy, Judy, Alan, Mia the dog, Pearl the cat...
which is another reason I am glad I stayed on after the sgporean kids went back home. If I hadn't stay, I wouldn't know these friends in depth, did some pretty crazy stuffs with them. And had a smashing 23rd birthday - thank you Amy + Judy. AND lei f or the present!! I like, very prett y!

In a day's time, I will fly back to my side of the globe. No longer would it be Night for me, Day for my Singaporean friends. It would be Night for my US friends, and Day for me.....

le voyage
Hello folks,
been traveling around US since 31st August. To date, it has been 11 days. Been to Anaheim (Disneyland), San Diego (Seaworld), Las Vegas, San Francisco. Took 4flights within this 11 days. Scary.. taking flights is like taking bus rides suddenly.. lol..
Will try to blog (with pictures) as soon as I get the chance. Have to do it soon, otherwise my brain will forget.
Currently now in San Francisco, doing this "grad trip" with my University friend - nana zhong. Lovely girl! *Lubs u to bits, nana!* Having loads of fun cos the company's good, scenary rocks, weather is cold but... I like it.
Was at Alcatraz 2 days ago, loitering at Fisherman Wharf's yesterday and had crab!!(16USD, mind you!)
Today I went to Sonoma Valley (wine country), Viansa Winery...and did some wine tasting.. nothing bombastic and no I didn't get drunk. Wine tasting leh... not wine bottomings-up. After that went to Napa premium outlets to do some last minute cheap designer togs shopping... Blasted 72USD on clinique stuffs... cos in spore its much, much more expensive.
tomorrow will mark my last day and night in San francisco..... Did i mention how much i adore this place??

leaving.
finally... i finished my last day in Grand Canyon, North Rim.
几千万个舍不得。但还是要走。舍不得又怎样？天下无不散之宴席。
an unexpected plan to travel disneyland + seaworld was hatched between me and my turkish travelmate - duygu.
a travel plan i wanted so much to chicken out on thursday night ( i was stipulated to leave, 31st aug, friday morning)
'cos nothing was planned, nothing was booked, nothing was done. the plan is - NO PLAN AT ALL. and for a singapore-up-brought-me, no plan is instant death. i need to plan to the next hour, what im gonna do, and all things in tip-top condition.
So, at the 11th hour, i went to knock on duygu's door, and told her i cannot travel with her... cos i am freaked out from having no plans at all.....
she assured me, but..... got use meh?
so, friday morning came... i gritted my teeth and showed up @ EDR, for my impendingdoomdeparture.
Boss Amy + Judy + mark came to send me off...
a tearful goodbye, i have never cried so hard for the past 4 yrs in my life (not even when I had to study thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and systems and control...made me cry at all)
so the floodgates were opened....
