Let it snow, let it snow!

I forgot to post some important pictures!!

On the day that I arrived in St George and supposed to be shuttled up to Grand Canyon, I was told by the workers at Grand Canyon that it snowed this morning. So before we went up to the mountain, we stopped by Walmart. I bought long pants (6.5USD, was on clearance sale! Quite nice!)

The important thing is: snowed pictures!

its SNOW ok!

SMILE! SNOW!!

First Day @ work

[Day 3]

Today was my first day at work.

I was given a short orientation, and I started on the job learning. Oh, I’m working in the deli. It is by far, most people say that that’s the best place to work in. Well, job nature to me is not the most important. I feel, the time u spent doing anything NEED to be fruitful, ie, u work 8 hours also work, but if u r paid $8 hours per hr instead of $6, there’s where the BIG difference comes in.. If working harder brings in more money, I rather have a harder to work job thingie…

Anyway, I started the training by making buerittos, then making sandwiches, then pizzas…

Getting the hang of it now.. quite cool.. AND the best part is, we get to eat from the deli! I had sweet and sour chicken rice bowl and hot dogs and fruit salad!! Shioks!

After work, we went hiking to Bright Angel Point.

Here are some pictures:

Back to St George again

[Day2]

Because the ppl who drove me up yesterday forgot to bring me to do my social security card yesterday, I had to go back to St George today! Anyway, today is a “shopping day” (really is a shopping day where it drives people to St George to shop). So I went to walmart (again!) and JC Penny shopping centre.

You know something? I love walmart! There’s a lot to shop in there, and the prices are ok! And the clothes there are nice ok! I bought my working pants there for USD 7 (clearance sale, was about 13 USD. Kids size)

And I bought a top that caught my eye. The instant I lay my eyes on it, I knew it gotta be mine! It was the correct size and… tada!!

Chio ah!!!!

Later we went to JC Penny, I bought another top. I would have 大开杀戒 if it weren’t for the fact that I am spending money when I haven’t worked a single day, and I am constantly reminded by the 65USD cab I took!

Top bought at JC Penny, “Arizona” Brand. Was 14.99USD. Bought at 4.99 USD! GOOD BUY!

Road Trip

Ok, so you probably calculated:
I arrived at Grand Canyon, North Rim via Plane-->Cab-->Greyhound-->Shuttle.
En route, I took a few pictures of the sceneries: here goes:
Vegas skylight

Grand Canyon from the roads..

thats all for now, folks!

Embarking on THE trip!

Let us embark on an adventure, from Singapore to Grand Canyon.

I took the China Airlines from Singapore to Los Angeles Airport (LAX). En route, I transited in Taiwan.

(Sorry, no pictures of the airplane and food on plane ‘cos it was troublesome to take pictures with the bulk of luggage I was carrying)

When I arrived at LAX, I hesitated whether to take a cab to the Greyhound bus station in LA or to take public transport. The public transport required me to change bus services 3 times! On calculated risks, I decided to take the cab…

Nahbei! The cab cost USD 65 bucks!!! That’s like S$100?! WTF!!!! If not for safety and fears of missing the Greyhound bus, I would have ventured for the public transport.

I reached the Greyhound station about 20 mins, and waited from 920pm to 1145pm for the Greyhound bus (LA time). Waiting was tough; as I did not sleep on the plane from Singapore to LA. Had to stay awake to keep my eye on my luggage! I met some nice people at the Greyhound station, an ‘abit’ old woman (probably in her fifties) was particularly nice and brave (she disallowed people to jump queue, heh heh) Later we sat together in the bus from LA to Las Vegas. This time I slept soundly, perhaps it was night time and I was far too tired to keep my eyes peeled.

We reached Las Vegas, Nevada after about 5 hours of traveling. I waited to transit to St George at the station. Sian ji pua.. must wait again!! This time no seats to sit.. had to stand in line…and the bus was late!!

(the bus driver signed on my baggage ticket!)

We traveled another (approximately 2 hours) and reached St George, Greyhound stop. It was just beside Macdonalds! When I alighted from the Greyhound bus, it was cold! But I had a fulfilling breakfast!

look at the SHREK milk bottle! Cute!

McGriddies!! Not yet in Singapore!

You know? the best part of it? I did it alone! =)

I was apprehensive about doing this.. man, but i guess its ok.. and i relinquish the fact that did it alone.. makes me feel.. hmmmm.. not bad? Haha
