It was bright and chirpy when we got up - too late to have the free breakfast! Drats!
So we went to have tim sum @ Chinatown.

A not-hungry man is a happy man!!

We walked past a fruit seller and see what we saw:

After the very FULL-filling brunch, we walked to Fisherman's wharf for jalan jalan*

Soon we walked to Ghirardelli - a famous chocolate brand

i absolutely adore this shot. so in-motion!
there was this chocolate festival there, and we were given coupons by a kind hearted boy who couldn't finish and had to leave. So we heh heh, had some chocolates... and we bought chocolates from the shops there! WARNING: do NOT buy your Ghirardelli chocolates there.. elsewhere sell so much cheaper! We kena conned.

we sat down at the beach, basking in the...relaxing atmosphere, bidding time before going to... Alcatraz -yeah, we booked tickets way beforehand to take the trip into Alcatraz.

on the ship viewing the shore.

Alacatraz

one leg standing

inside the Jail.
My take on Alcatraz..
Surely a tourist attraction, but thats about it. I've been to the jails and torture chambers in Cambodia which took place during Pol-Pot's regime. The jails there were not significantly furnished to be "good enough to be a tourist attraction". I remember it really felt eerie and lifeless at the jail... and the glass tower of skeletons and skulls were...a little nerve wrecking.. cos the vast numerals of skulls was gross. eeks. a chill would run up my spine.
Alcatraz is pretty pretty sweet sweet.. But I took the night time tour.. so the bonus was that I could take the ship down the SF Bay...and watch the sun set against Golden Gate Bridge. A real beautiful sight... *awwwws*
After the tour, it was quite late...and me and nana walked back to Amsterdam hostel... and perhaps we have covered enough mileage to kill some fats, heh.

8th September - San franscisco Day 1

Nana and I wheeled out of SF airport at around noon time. Expecting punishing hot weather, we were surprisingly greeted with cool breeze but sunny skies.
It was a very refreshing change from the unforgiving dessert desert weather back in Vegas.
We caught a airport shuttle to our hotel hostel. The driver was making rounds and rounds in SF, dropping all the passengers off but us! Hmmmm.... the driver must be smitten with Ms nana. Haha! HUNK Uncle-magnet la, she!
Finally the roads not very sure driver found his way the driver dropped us off at our accomodation of the day - Amsterdam Hostel.

Video of our private room:

After checking in with my enormous baggages with no lift service-i had to scramble down the stairs with my sibei very heavy luggages - we went out for foooood... 2 ravenous lass..
we took a map from the counter and ventured into the unknowns, with only a map in hand!

We walked towards Chinatown...and saw a cheena kong pastry shop. Craving for egg tarts, we went into the shop:

we walked further and came upon this:

the meritocracy driven Singaporeans would have been attracted to the A1 signboard... and we were duped!

don't be conned by our winning smiles. we were just happy to get chinese food after quite some time... haha.
decided to walk off our fat ass after the meal.
dedicated to judy! ms postlady!

what the hell are you bowing the guitar for?? *tsktsk*

i absolutely adore the architecture in SF!

church

soon it was dark...
the cold weather made really stretched my bladder to the limits - thankfully, nana spotted this space-machine!
its a elevator! its a plane! its a space station! NOOOO! its a toilet!!!! hwah! *shioks*

Soon it was dark and chilly, and we made our way back to Amsterdam Hostel.

6th sept to 8th sept - las vegas - day 3 till the end

why should i be reporting on my own blog? Shouldn't it be a piece of reminisce?
Day 3 at las vegas, i fell terribly ill. Must be the in-out-of-aircondition-out-in-the-desert phenomenon.
went for brunch at ihop (International House Of Pancakes) - food here is good... the pancakes and waffles are mouthwatering good!
after a good meal, we went back to the hotel to sleep...cos yours truly was terribly sick...
*secretly thankful for nana cos she stuck with me thru the time i was sick..and not being black face cos i was sick den we can't go out to shop or whatever. she patiently allowed me to rest and waited till i was well enough to go out...
at night, when the sun wasn't scorching, we went for dinner and walked down the strip again... and caught the water show at Bellagio twice! And then photo-whored as we shop passed the hotels..

Day 4
as prices of the circus circus hotel was exorbitant over the weekend, we had to shift lodgings. A roof over our heads came in the form of howard johnson inns. Its some good place to stay in! After shifting in, we went for *more* shopping at the outlet malls at the north strip.

Howard Johnson Inn - not bad place to stay!

still got balcony somemore!

recliners somemore, facing the swimming pool! whheeee!
