10th sept - Day 3 in SF

We woke up earl(ier) in the morning to catch the 'free breakfast' that's provided by Amsterdam hostel. 2 waffles later, we rushed to pack up...cos we gotta shift to another hostel! Cos this hostel no more rooms for the next 2 nights.
So we packed up, lugged the heavy loads and caught a cab to bring us to UnionSquare Backpackers Hostel. Because this hostel is housed in a very dark, scary alley, the driver had to make a few rounds before finding it. Little did we know, it was just a few streets across Amsterdam Hostel.

See the 'grand entrance' of the hostel...backalley! Nana was just retorting yesterday that this place would be "who stay there sure kena robbed" when we went past it. Haha, karma, karma!
We quickly settled into our rooms..and went out!
In a nutshell, we have 'fallen from grace' - we were staying in a HOTEL at las vegas, then we shifted to an INN, then we stayed over at Amsterdam Hostel in SF, and finally, our last stop - a SLUM.
To sum it up: HOTEL-->INN-->HOSTEL-->SLUMS.
goodness gracious, heh.
Craving for Milk tea, we wandered upon this gem:

with our cheap milk tea! milk tea!

Today our agenda is to walk towards Golden Gate Bridge, snap some pictures, and have a sumptuous seafood dinner at Fisherman's Wharf.
en route, we saw a 'harry potter lookalike weepy willows:

we passed a stretch of nice and affluent estate.(we were told that Danielle steel lives here!)

walked for abit more...we saw:
GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE!
writings in the sand..as evasive as everything... the wind blows and erases everything that marked our existence. sayonara desu. when the tides rise, when the waves splash over, we are as good as naught.
footprints in the sand..

扮鬼脸!
After touching the waters of Pacific Ocean, stepping on the soft sands of SF beach, we walked to catch a bus back to Fisherman's wharf cos it was quite a BIG distance to go back..We decided that we should have a go on the tram - a touristy thing to do! When we were approaching the stands for the trams, the tram driver - Hector, offered to give us a free ride!! Must be Ms. Nana Zhong sibei chio la... Haha! I told you - Nana is the ultimate HUNK Uncle -magnet!!

After the free tram ride, we went to have dinner at Fisherman's Wharf!

We had crabs! It cost us USD16 to have ONE crab, which we shared, amongst other stuff...

crabs lying on the tables - worth as much as they are worthless. They were just boiled, and served as it is. I am pretty much reminded of the Singapore's Black Pepper Crabs, and thinking of 无招牌's Butter crabs, i am droollinnnnngggg..........
